Your Best 2013 Goal

by Joe Vitale on January 1, 2013

What would you love to see occur in 2013?

What would be cool for you to attract?

What do you really want?

Here’s your chance to help it happen.

Setting a goal “calls forth” virtually everything you need to achieve and attract that goal.

Just a few months ago I felt dead when it came to music. After recording four albums, one of them a hands down bestseller, all of them seen in Rolling Stone magazine, I didn’t feel connected to any more music. I wanted to quit.

Yet after I set a new goal, with the help of Daniel Barrett and his Rubicon artist program, new songs came forth.

A dozen of them.

Good ones.

Great ones.

Surprising ones.

Where were they before the goal?

The goal triggered the songs. The goal “called forth” the songs.

I then went into the studio — with drummer Joe Vitale, bass player Glenn Fukunaga, guitar player and producer Daniel Barrett — and created ten amazing tracks. I’m in awe of what we recorded. The soft songs were kissed by angels. The rockers raised the dead.

Yet there were no songs before the goal!

I recall having dinner with Rhonda Byrne, the person behind the hit movie The Secret. I asked her if she felt she created or attracted the movie idea. She thought for a long time and said, “I called it forth.”

“Calling forth” your outcome is what happens when you set a clear goal and have no attachment to how or when it arrives.

Today is your chance to “call forth” what you want for 2013.

It all begins with a clear goal.

Goals that are without desperation are easier to attract. Desperation is the energy of a negative belief pushing the goal away. You want a goal that delights you, even if you have no idea how you will attract it, or when.

Goals are how you start a fire within yourself. You might be feeling “blah” and have no desire for much of anything but living in the moment and vegging. But let an inspired idea become a goal and suddenly you ignite the pilot light in your soul. Now you have direction, purpose, and energy. The goal triggers the release of new powers, and even begins to attract opportunities and more to bring the goal into reality.

Ask, “What would be really cool to attract in this new year?’

Forget why or how. Let your unconscious mind work with “all that is” to arrange it to happen.

All you need to do today is choose your goal.

What’s yours?

Ao Akua,

PS — Happy New Year!

Im all about making goals. It is amazing how fast things start to get rolling after the goal is set. Thank you for teaching me that Joe.

Hi Joe,
Good article. I find when i’ve made a goal and have the desire that drives me to work on it alot more than when i’m just doing stuff without a goal in mind, then it’s just like “eeh”.

At the moment my goal is to create $1200 for a program I want to do later in the year.

Happy, successful and joyous new year to you and yours.

I have a number of goals for this year, of which two are relevant.

1. I am publishing a book called “Unleash Your Dreams: Going Beyond Goal Setting”. This uses a number of NLP and similar techniques to help people who need to follow a set methodology to get themselves going, and help in keeping going.

2. I am looking for endorsements of the book, and the most important to me would be one from you, Dr Vitale.

What would it take for you to see my book and endorse it? In other words, what has to be in it for you?

Joe Vitale January 7, 2013 at 2:17 pm

Nothing has to be in it for me. I simply need to see it, and, if I like it, I’ll consider giving an endorsement. BTW, congrats on writing it.

Hello, greatings from Venezuela. I’m starting your latest book The Key, so far i’m loving it, Thank you for that! I just want to know the meaning of Ao Akua? I did some reserch but the result was not clearly enough…

Joe Vitale January 14, 2013 at 8:00 am

It’s the Hawaiian name Dr. Hew Len gave me which roughly translates to “parting clouds to see God.”

Edith Howell January 22, 2013 at 5:42 pm

Dr. Vitale:
Thank you for remind us about the importance of having clear goals.
I help people clear the emotional pain of their traumatic childhood so they can finally feel joy in their lives.
So my goal for this year is to able to reach as many people as possible. I love your “Hypnotic Writing Swipe File” . I use it all the time. Thank you. Edith

Thank you very much for your book “The Key. The missing Secret…”
I discovered it on the airport in Warsaw (Poland), and it attracted me at once (a very good translation by the way). A really good, well written book! What a pleasure, I can write it to you personally!

I feel really inspired and have a lot of goals for this year
1. To edit a book about architecture I translated from german into polish
2. To change my work and start with my postdoc program
3. To lose 15 KG – I really don’t need them – I started 1st of January, yoga, good organic food and enough sleep and training.
4. To visit Thailand again
And many many others.

Greetings from cold Germany and all the best for you and your family!

Greetings from Thailand Joe,
Sawadeekhrap khun Dr. Joe, My 2013 goal is to co-write and sell an eBook about elderly exercise. Having read several of your books, and knowing we both finished a Bill Phillips 12 week challenge which means you truly appreciate fitness as much or more than I do, please consider being my JV partner and co-writer. That goal is my chance to earn my first on line $. As you say others in the world have or will have the same thought soon and I wanted to take inspired action to contact you about This
Thank You,
David Todd
