:lol:I only learned about your offer on Thursday which was too late for your "four" of 24 offer. I am sure it is good, as most of your other material has been noteworthy. Please keep up the good work and keep me in mind for future offers.

1936 and 1937 were actually near the end of a 13-year bear market called the great depression. The "new economy" bull market spawned by the railroad ended in 1929 and the next bull market didn't begin until 1942. Elliot Wave is brilliant in theory and a disaster in execution. It's resilts over the last 12 years has been an embarassment if you compare it to any asset allocation strategy--from conservative to aggressive. Unfortunately that's the real secret about Elliot Wave.

We've Got a Secret
9/18/2007 3:23:10 PM

By Susan C. Walker

"The Secret has traveled through centuries to reach you…."

And it looks like some people applied Rhonda Byrne's "secret" Law of Attraction from her best-selling book, The Secret, to the

Federal Reserve today as it cut its Federal funds rate by half a point. Because those folks wanted the Fed to cut its rate, they

attracted that outcome – or so The Secret would have you believe.

But we've got a bigger secret to tell you – self-help books have been a staple of bull markets for decades. In fact, our cultural

trends analyst, Pete Kendall, points out that 'bootstrap' psychology in the United States was born with How To Win Friends and

Influence People by Dale Carnegie and Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which came out in 1936 and 1937 at the end of a

bull market. The Secret has been raking in the sales since right before the Dow Jones Industrial Average moved to a new

all-time high, similar to Think and Grow Rich, which also capped a five-year rise in social mood, says Kendall.

Here's his description of what makes The Secret different, though:

"For one thing, The Secret is no secret. It is a rehash of past self-help advice. Another distinction is the approach that it

advocates. Unlike Think and Grow Rich, in which readers had to think and plan to attain their dreams, The Secret espouses a

'law of attraction,' which says you can have whatever you want if you will only imagine yourself having it. 'The explicit claim,'

observes columnist Jerry Adler, is that you 'can manipulate objective physical reality – the numbers in a lottery drawing, the

actions of other people who may not even know you exist -- through your thoughts and feelings.' At the end of the long rise, the

idea of 'pulling yourself up by the bootstraps' has given way to a world in which gaining material possessions is possible through

three mental steps: 'Ask, believe, receive.'"

In other words, don't work hard to make things happen; don't bother to actually improve yourself; don't break a sweat exerting

yourself. Simply use your mind to ask for what you want, and – voilà! – there it will be. To Kendall's mind, that approach is a

"perfect set-up for complete failure in a bear market."

Our analysts spend lots of time looking at wave patterns on price charts, and they also watch for signs of changes in social

mood, which are eventually reflected by financial markets. You might think it strange that a smashing best-seller and marketing

behemoth like The Secret can offer insights beyond the Law of Attraction, but you might also be strangely attracted to the idea. If

so, you need to indulge in some reading that, though it hasn't traveled centuries to get to you, will still bring startling insights,

which is what Elliott Wave's Financial Forecast service offers.

Yesterday I was thinking about a similar phrase "You haven't seen anything yet' I shouldn't say thinking it was like I was receiving a radio broadcast. I was struggling to make sense of what this could mean? now I know what it is.

A few decades ago was a foreign tourist visited African tribes to do some research when he was done with one tribe he travelled by car to the other which was 200 miles away. To his surprise all arrangements were made to invite this unexpected guest. Yes, they were using telepathy to communicate with each other. An Indian yogi once said 'where there is less population there is more psychic power'
