Basically they get thousands of teenagers to do millions of dollars worth of promotion...for FREE! Of course there are a few non-teenager street teamers (like me), and you can also get a few perks like getting to meet the artists. I recently posted a few such pics on my <a HREF="http://www.uglyblog.com" REL="nofollow">ugly blog</a>. I would have to agree that street team marketing is genius.
