I too have been where you have been. Lost Hope and hopelessly lost. I can remember riding my bike to work in the rain, with no seat. Sleeping on my friends couch. My other friends sleeping in the park, eating a loaf of bread that they had to steal because they had no money. I can remember my car catching fire on the freeway. I can remember breaking my leg and getting a bad infection that broke through the skin and driving back home to see the doctor and my brakes failing and rear-ending a pregnant lady who comes out of the car holding her head and stomach. She was ok and they saved the leg. I have been there. Drunk and lost and completely full of despair, and still something inside me keeps me going. Something inside me does not want to quit. For example, I was feeling completely apathetic and it was late at night and I saw this cat sitting on a fence. He was relaxed and watching and enjoying life and the night air. Just living his short life to the fullest. Because that's all he knew how to do. No complaints. Just living life to the fullest and not knowing any better. Me, I don't have problems. Just perceptions. Hang in there brother. It will get better. I hope you read this because sometimes I write for "whom the sun never shines" Take this little piece of light and believe and make your life the best it can be.
