What’s In Your Mirror?

By Dr. Joe Vitale - August 26th, 2007

self-esteem1.jpg I stumbled across this image and wanted to share it with you.

What do you see when you look in your mirror?

    HI Joe,

It’s cool that you have this post today. I was having a phone conversation today with my mom and we were speaking of the mirror in this same context. I was telling her that earlier in the week I found myself wondering about being on this side… feeling I have been left behind here… Am I on the wrong side of the mirror looking in – I want to be on the inside looking out. My meaning here is that I want to be attuned to that part of me that is Spirit, having human experiences… not the other way around. Wouldn’t it be cool if we could all remember this during every moment of every day on this planet?

The reasoning for these new thoughts is due to my son, Shane Patton, a US Navy Seal that was killed in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. Somehow his death has created a “tether” so to speak, to my awareness of my spiritual side being much more valuable than my humanness. A tether, I feel, also connects me to my son. So the Mirror is a metaphor to remind myself every time I look into it… or brush past it, that I am indeed on the wrong side… even if it is temporary. I am Spirit having a Human experience.

I have not read your Zero Limits book… I am manifesting it : ) So… it should arrive soon, but I do love your newsletter and emails I receive daily. I practice Ho’oponono and watch… for miracles

Thank you for your great way of expressing the things you do, I really enjoy the time I spend reading your posts.

I think ‘Money’ clouds what we see in the mirror.

People like your good self Joe, I’d like to think you see exactly who
    ‘you are’ looking back.

I think you’ve become a ‘White Kings Knight’.
Something we should all aspire to.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

    Money, Money, Money.

    Money, money, money.
This word I hear you say.
Is the root of all that’s evil,
and that we’ll buy judgment day.

It’s true of course, it’s been abused.
    Just the way religion’s used.
But just as there are holy men,
    who only want what’s right.
    So, there are philanthropists
    who wield financial might.

They don’t ask for glamour. They don’t ask for fame.
But they are very happy, to be bankers in lifes game.
We all start as pawns, but if we get right through.
We can become the White Kings Knight,
    and be lifes bankers too.

If you see money as evil,
    what I suggest you do.
    Is look into the mirror,
and see who looks at you.

Do you see the Black Knight,
with eyes for lust and greed ?
Or the milk of human kindness,
of which mankind can feed ?

    Don’t be afraid of money.
    It’s lifes eternal honey.
It puts the icing on the cake.
When the sacrifice for love you make.
Life pays us back with high rewards,
if we can strike the vital chords
That’s why the music world is strong
They have the chord in every song
When we buy the peaceful day
The music world will pay the way.

I put this one on my blog: http://www.lisanatoli.com - with a link back to you. I just finished The Attractor Factor- WOW - and gave it to my husband. Our next BIG ATTRATION is a big house. I liked how you wrote when there are 2 people who want the same thing, both parties have to clear and attract.

Hi, Joe, Since everything is seen through the eyes of perception, I believe that what you see in the mirror is how YOU perceive yourself…not necessarily what anyone else sees. I also believe you can change your perception of yourself if you don’t like what you see! Doesn’t THAT sound like fun??

    Hi Joe,

I seen the image of the cat looking in the mirror and seeing a Lion. I use to use that very image in my Yahoo Instant messenger for a year. I believe it might still be on my yahoo 360 blog also from long ago. How cool is that? :o)

I’m really enjoying your blog and have purchased two of your books so far. Thank you so much for everything.

    We are always blessed,

    Dexter
