Thoughts, news, riffs and reviews by Dr. Joe Vitale ("Mr. Fire!") about marketing, publicity, selling, hypnosis, copywriting, books, fitness, metaphysics, "The Secret" and anything else he cares to comment on, including healing, humor, the Internet and yes, maybe even sex.

Jarle Husefest wrote: "I love the way you do reviews without adding affiliate links. That way I can be sure that it comes from your heart."

Yes, indeed, my thanks to Joe Vitale comes from the heart. I don't think it's appropriate for one to put their affiliate links on blog posts, and if I were to be so crass as to do that on Dr. Vitale's blog, I wouldn't be surprised if it were removed.

No... my main site URL should be sufficient should someone need to contact me. I have too many affiliates anyway, and I refuse to make my main site look like a flea market.

When I was having coffee with this lady today, and I learned of the problem with her vocal chords, I immediately thought of Dr. Vitale and how he might know someone in New Braunsfels that could help her. She's never tried anything homeopathic outside conventional medicine, and all her doctors are stumped why she can't talk.

About a year ago she had an ear infection and she lost use of her voice for a couple of weeks. It came back shortly for about two weeks, then disappeared again, and she has been talking in a whisper ever since.

Right after the two week period, a dear friend of hers passed away, and all her friends basically dumped her during her time of emotional need. I could empathize with her as I lost my dad last December and it was a tremendous emotional loss. But as Dr. Vitale told me, "This too will pass." (The emotional loss...)

Time heals a lot of things. And had it not been for Dr. Vitale and his kindness, I don't think I would be in much better shape than Priscilla. For I, too, have had a lot of people "get shuck" of me and abandon me. But I'm strong, and I'm well known in town. I'm a contributing writer to the Blanco County News, and occasionally (when Phil doesn't have a problem with me doing PSA's in the Wimberley paper) I'll send my news releases to other papers.

I write a lot. I keep a journal every day, and I'm working on some inspirational/motivational books. Dr. Joe Vitale has been such an inspiration to me and many others here in town that I re-discovered an old passion of mine: writing. While I still write a lot of blogs and articles, I try - as I may - to do something each day on my book.

Subsidising my nascient business ventures with a W-2 paycheck hasn't proved financially successful, and I find it difficult to "clear" my mind of debts and focus on wealth with the "hounds" on my doorstep. Ever since I returned after my dad's funeral, I've been trying to catch up on finances.

I don't mind saying it: I need work. I like to work. I just want to get paid for what I do. Recieve a paycheck commensurate with the work I do. Which is why I basically promote my main site and try to pick up work for ad copywriting and web design. Sales pages and lead capture pages can cost a lot, but there's a whole lot more to it than throwing up a page and expecting everybody to head over there like a baseball diamond in Dyarsville, Iowa. This "ain't" the "Field of Dreams". Build it, and they might, or might not, come.

I've probably rambled too much, but it comes from the heart to know that Dr. Vitale has been helpful to get his message across in his books and on his blogs. I am deeply indebted to him for being my guest speaker last November when - practically - the whole town showed up. We had a packed house!

When Dr. Vitale mentioned Steve Chandler’s new book, 100 Ways to Create Wealth in his post, he said, "...Steve and Sam explain that they are writing this book so you can have wealth so you can help yourself and others.

There are so many people in my town who have needs -- some of them much greater than my own. But I feel "stressed" sometimes when I can't help them, because I can't even help myself.

But knowing that Dr. Vitale always has his friends on his mind gives me assurance that tomorrow CAN be a much better day. I know some days are not always going to "attract" positives... I just have to learn how to adjust to it.

Again, with all my heart felt thanks, I appreciate Dr. Vitale and Suzanne, his Executive Assistant. Whenever I call her on the phone and ask her if she has a few minutes, she always says, "Yes, I can take some time for YOU!" She's so sweet, and I hope to meet her someday. She's a jewel... a diamond!

Warm regards,
Ernest O'Dell

Hi Joe,

Ernest O'Dell here in Blanco, Texas. I was just sitting across the table from a new acquaintance I made today who could barely talk in a whisper. I told her about you and your new book "Zero Limits" and how it might help her. I called Suzanne and gave her a "heads up" about Priscilla and her situation.

Your book is certainly going to be a big help to a lot of people. May you be blessed richly!

Yours always,
Ernest O'Dell
P.S. German cooking at TLC is a lot better fare than what we had last November!
